Several times a week we’re asked why we chose to treat only feline patients. In one sense, it’s a very easy answer: We love them! We love cats and get a great deal of satisfaction from caring for our patients and helping them to enjoy long, happy, healthy lives with their owners.

By choosing just one species on which to focus, it allows us to direct all our attention to learning all we can about the diseases and problems of just one animal. We can concentrate our continuing education on more specific issues of cats, and in a feline only practice, we can provide a different kind of veterinary experience for our patients, one without the sights, sounds, and smells of things that may be scary or offensive to them. And having worked in both types of hospitals, we can tell you: the cats appreciate the “no dogs” policy!

To further show our dedication to feline patients, Dr. Rucinsky chose to pursue board certification by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. The process of board certification is rigorous, and there are relatively few people who actually complete the process. By achieving specialist status, she can offer a higher level of service to our clients and patients.
